Dr. Gudavalli obtained Bachelor of Science degree and basic
engineering degrees from India, and Master of engineering degree from McMaster University, Canada, and a PhD degree from University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Gudavalli has been affiliated with basic and translational
biomechanics research for more than 20 years. He has obtained several federal grants as a principal investigator, co-leader, and as a
co-investigator to do research on basic science studies related to
musculoskeletal system as well as clinical studies on low back pain
and neck pain. He has been involved in obtaining federal research
funding in the amount exceeding $20 million as a principal
investigator , co-leader, and as a co-investigator. Served as a
co-leader (Co-PI) on three developmental center grants from National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, National Institutes of Health.
