Spine specialist, Dr. Steven Baroody shares a story of a postal worker with incapacitating neck and arm pain.

Dr. Baroody is a 2004 graduate of New York Chiropractic College, in Seneca Falls, NY.  A martial artist for more than twenty-five years, he was introduced to chiropractic when he injured his low back being thrown.  The quick recovery that followed, and the opportunity to help others convinced him that chiropractic was the career for him.

A hair-dresser seeks relief of severe back pain from spine specialist, Dr. Anthony Galante to avoid back surgery.

Dr. Galante graduated from National University of Health Sciences in 1992, is certified in Cox Technique Flexion/Distraction, author of The Sciatic Survival Guide and is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician.

Dr. Galante grew up with back pain. His mother suffered with it, his father had stenosis and arthritis, his grandfather had 2 low back surgeries (neither surgery helped), several aunts and uncles have dealt with back pain, with it being so prevalent in his family it wasn’t a big surprise that Dr. Galante found himself in a chiropractor’s office at the tender age of 17.

You see, Dr. Galante had a history of low back pain going back to middle school! For years the nagging pain was there, but it wasn’t until a hard hit in a hockey game landed the good doctor on his hip that the back really flared up!

Suffering with back pain on and off during his 20’s, he found traditional chiropractic techniques were not relieving the pain and it continued into his early 30’s. This caused Dr. Galante to search for a solution. And he found one. The Cox Technique relieved Dr. Galante’s back pain for the first time in 2 YEARS!

Currently, Dr. Galante uses numerous treatments to improve his patient’s quality of life. In addition to the Cox Technique, he utilizes Manipulation, Physical Therapy, Super Pulsed Laser, Whole Body Standing Vibration, Rebuilder Therapy, Orthotic Therapy, TENS units, Diet and Nutritional Counseling, Kinesiotaping and Massage Therapy.

Dr. Galante lives in Algonquin with his wife and two children.

Spine specialist, Dr. Suneil Ninan shares a story of a grandmother with multiple disc bulges who is successfully treated conservatively.

In The Words of Suneil (Nick) Ninan, M.S., D.C.

“I have been in private practice for more than 20 years. Over this period of time, I have gained knowledge in treating a variety of conditions, for both acute and chronic conditions.

Earlier on in my career, I also taught anatomy and physiology at the college/undergraduate level, and stopped when the demands of private practice became too great to do both.

I opened my office in Gowanda in 1994. I have been practicing in this small town ever since. I enjoy the charms of being in a rural area, with space and privacy. I am happy to live and work in my hometown, where I went to school and have friends and family. I enjoy playing tennis, bike riding, hiking, and gardening. I also enjoy travel, and the great outdoors. I am a longtime member of Collins Friends Meeting, where I teach Sunday School. I live nearby in Cattaraugus, NY with my wife and two boys.”
